This will include identifying and managing key account customers, developing relationships, identifying and closing new overland business. The successful candidate must have previous experience selling European road freight, excellent communication and presentation skills and be highly organised.

The Operations Assistant will assist the European freight forwarding team with customer and supplier enquiries. The successful candidate will have experience in a freight forwarding environment with some knowledge of international trade. Good keyboard skills with knowledge of Word and Excel are necessary. A second European language would also be beneficial.

The role will focus on researching opportunities to develop business in road freight groupage activities within our client’s target markets and providing qualified leads for the sales and tele-sales teams to follow up on and convert. Some telephone marketing will also be conducted. The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment in a busy and developing company. Previous experience of road transport operations will be desirable as well as a background in customer services or sales. Commutable from Warwick, Leamington, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Rugby.
A small, specialist freight forwarder seeks an International Planner to be based in Manchester. Key responsibilities: • Sourcing of hauliers • Providing customer interface and quotations • Trailer groupage planning • European destinations • Managing driver paperwork Interesting role in busy customer facing environment
Our client is a small, independent forwarder which is growing strongly. As such they have a new role that requires an Operations Manager to head up a department running the European intermodal / container business. Knowledge of full load services will be ideal (import preferred.) Ocean freight experience is also a possibility. Previous supervisory or management experience will also be beneficial.
