This management role will be based in a new branch to be established shortly in the Manchester area, controlling a small team of forwarders. The successful candidate will have a commercial background gained in the freight sector with proven sales experience and a client base in European road freight. He/she will be keen to take a step into management and develop his/her career with one of the leading players.
Based Midlands or North of England. Our client is expanding its business in various different sectors including a move into ocean freight. If you can demonstrate experience and success working in this sector then our client will want to hear from you. Ideally you will be based in the Midlands but it will not be a problem to be based in the north of England.

Our client is an international forwarder operating land, air and sea freight. The Planner will need knowledge of both Western and Eastern European road freight markets. Key Responsibilities • Provide quotations for collections & deliveries • Plan & utilise European vehicles • Liaise with agents and hauliers • Provide good service to customers and resolve issues The successful candidate will be methodical and well organised, comfortable dealing with customers. The Export Operator will have experience in express movements throughout Europe and be knowledgeable in the loading of groupage/ part / full export trailers. This is an excellent opportunity to help develop a busy export department. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, working as part of a team and with customers alike. PC skills are also necessary.
