Our client is a well established, independent transport and forwarding company which has a small branch in the north west of England and seeks to develop the business further in the trailer, groupage and express side. This is an ideal opportunity for someone to come in and take profit responsibility for their own branch, with full commercial and operational responsibilities. The prime objective will be to help develop the size of the UK operation. Sound knowledge and experience of all aspects of trailer operations is necessary together with previous managerial experience.
Based Midlands or North of England. Our client is expanding its business in various different sectors including a move into ocean freight. If you can demonstrate experience and success working in this sector then our client will want to hear from you. Ideally you will be based in the Midlands but it will not be a problem to be based in the north of England.
Our client is expanding its operations and has a new opening for a Sales Coordinator to be based at its office in the West Midlands. The role will focus on researching opportunities to develop business in road freight groupage activities within our client’s target markets and providing qualified leads for the sales and tele-sales teams to follow up on and convert. Some telephone marketing will also be conducted. The successful candidate will have good written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working in a team environment in a busy and developing company. Previous experience of road transport operations will be desirable as well as a background in customer services or sales. Commutable from Warwick, Leamington, Stratford-upon-Avon, Coventry, Rugby.
Our client is a leader in certain European road freight markets, and boasts offices around the continent. The UK operation has several branches including a modern warehouse facility in the Midlands, which is being expanded on the back of recent success. The Sales Exec will come into a new role within the business to further develop the full range of warehousing and transportation services, including haulage and freight forwarding. Previous experience within road freight sales is strongly preferred.
Based at our client's Birmingham office covering Midlands and North the successful candidate will be required to secure new accounts for worldwide freight services with a special bias toward European trailer services, import, export, full load and groupage. Previous experience in freight sales is required, preferably coming from an operational background. Must have a proven track record selling in the freight forwarding industry and be able to self manage. Will be required to generate own sales leads and work from sales leads sent from partners. Will also be required to cold call. Package includes: Bonus scheme for over target sales. Company car.
